Basic Garments for our Northshore Kids at Threads & Treads!

Threads & Treads (T&T) invites all families in the Northshore School District to shop for free clothing 2 days per week. You can see their website here.

Once per month, families can receive 3 pairs of underwear and socks for each family member. These, as you might guess, are items that would not be available as a used item, they are items that need replacing often because children wear them out and grow out of them quickly, and we all know that washers and dryers lose socks. The program, Threads & Treads is finding it very difficult to keep up with the demand for these particular items throughout a school year. Their clothing donations are needed too, but they get a lot of those!

Would you consider engaging your congregation in support of this worthwhile effort for the 2025-2026 School Year? There are a few ways your faith community could do this:

• See the T&T website for monetary donation options with their GoFund me, PayPal or sending in checks. Perhaps you could do an underwear and sock fundraiser!
• Shop for socks & underwear on their amazon list, share it with your faith community and let them shop for T&T. The items from this wish list are delivered to the program.
• Ask your faith community to bring in new socks and underwear 1 time per month, or for 1 month, or for a timeframe that makes sense for you, and bring them to Canyon Park Middle School for donation to Threads & Treads.
